February 1, 2011 - Rumor has been circulating that Former Haiti President Jean-Bertrand Aristide could be in Cuba for medical reasons.  Cuba foreign minister, Bruno Rodrìguez, called it a lie: "I declare that former President Aristide is not in Cuba" during a press conference in Equator.

Maryse Narcisse, coordinator of Aristide's political party "Fanmi Lavalas", has also confirmed that Aristide is still in South Africa and he has not been granted the diplomatic passport he requested from the Haitian government.
